This is a living history village/museum that contains original structures, interpreters in period clothing portraying the area's way of life in the mid-1800s.

Missouri Town 1855, located at Lake Jacomo, depicts an era of peace and prosperity that preceded the Border and Civil Wars. Reconstructed buildings and landscape illustrate a typical town of that time period.
